Chile - a magnificent country!
Chile boarders the Andes to the east and the Pacific Ocean (and Polynesia) to the west. It was in the Andes an airplane crashed and the story is known as ALIVE
Chile's unusual, ribbon-like shape — 4,300 km (2,672 mi or 430 Swedish mil) long and on average 175 km (109 mi or 17 Swedish mil) wide — has given it a hugely varied climate, ranging from the world's driest desert — the Atacama — in the north, through a Mediterranean climate in the centre, to a snow-prone Alpine climate in the south, with glaciers, fjords and lakes. Lake Conguillío in Conguillío National Park in south-central Chile.
A glacier at the Beagle Channel in southern Chile
Grey Glacier in southern Chile.
It's incredible what a various country this is!
