A horse, is a horse, is a horse?

There are horses - and sometimes there are horses! Look at this outstanding Lusitano named Merlin, as far as I know he is a horse by the Veiga-bloodline. He's ridden by Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza.

When I first saw this video I couldn't (and still can't) understand why anyone would ever consider having another type of horse?!?!
